The SEE Learning® team at Emory is offering two sets of Getting Started with SEE Learning® workshop. This virtual educator preparation workshop consists of three 90 minute sessions and each session is separated by a week. These workshops begin August 6th. The purpose of the workshops is to prepare educators to teach the content of chapters 1 and 2 of the SEE Learning curriculum.
The workshop introduces the SEE Learning framework. It consists of nine enduring capabilities oriented around awareness, compassion and engagement that are developed in the personal, social and systems domains. It also presents ways to regulate stress and emotions through trauma-informed resiliency skills by cultivating holistic perspective through systems thinking. It is recommended for educators interested in fostering social, emotional, and ethical learning in K-12 classrooms.

There are four opportunities to take the free "Getting Started with SEE Learning®" educator training. Registration and detailed information will be available in the training calendar section of this page soon. Educators can chose from the following training schedules, base on what works for their schedule:
We are also excited to offer the Level 1 Facilitator Course again this year. This training is for those who are interested in learning to train other educators to teach SEE Learning. This course is also free, and the application will open mid-August.

This transformative training builds mastery of SEE Learning, helps participants establish a personal practice, and develops facilitation skills. Through the certification program individuals will be certified to facilitate SEE Learning training for their school community and beyond. This training brings together people from around the world who are committed to building a more aware and compassionate world to develop that inner tools they need to fulfill this shared vision.

The L1 facilitator course for 2023-2024 will begin October 11, 2023 and run through April 2024.
This course prepares participants to serve as certified facilitators who will offer SEE Learning workshops and support SEE Learning implementation in their regions in coordination with the local affiliate organization. Doing so allows them to practice, develop, and receive feedback on their SEE Learning facilitation skills. Please see the Course Syllabus for more information and list of all meeting dates.
Interested students should complete the Application by September 11, 2023.

Helping students and facilitators of restorative practices foster skills such as mindful dialogue, the recognition of shared common humanity, self-compassion, and compassion for others will build the foundation skills needed to successfully implement a school culture that is guided by restorative practices.
